Hi & Welcome!
Reaching out for help, especially from a stranger, can indeed be daunting. The fear of vulnerability, judgment, or the unknown can hold many people back. However, it's important to recognize that seeking support is a brave step towards healing and growth. Licensed therapists are trained to create a safe and empathetic environment, allowing you to express your thoughts and feelings without fear. Remember, you are not alone in this; many people experience similar feelings of apprehension. Taking that first step, no matter how challenging it might seem, can lead to meaningful change and a deeper understanding of yourself. Embrace the possibility of connection and the support that is available.
I’ve dedicated over 20 years to assisting individuals in reducing stress, anxiety, and confusion. My aim is to empower you to lead a more joyful life. Through personalized integrative therapeutic approaches, we can explore your unique challenges and co-create a path towards improved mental well-being. Together, we will focus on strategies that resonate with you and foster a sense of calm and clarity in your daily experiences.
I received my Master’s degree in social work in 1991, marking the beginning of my career in healthcare. Over the years, I had the privilege of becoming the Director of an outpatient mental health center, a role I truly loved. My extensive experience spans working with individuals facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and severe and persistent mental illness. This background has equipped me with a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health and the importance of tailored approaches in supporting each individual.
I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and utilize a variety of evidence-based and holistic practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness techniques. My approach is skills-based, which can be particularly beneficial for individuals seeking to enhance their coping skills. In addition, I hold certification as an Integrative Mental Health Practitioner, allowing me to address mental health from a comprehensive perspective. By combining these diverse methodologies, I aim to support clients in achieving improved mental health and overall well-being.
As a certified Integrative Mental Health Practitioner, I provide a spectrum of therapeutic modalities to meet the diverse needs of my clients. Whether you prefer traditional therapy or are open to integrating holistic methods, we can tailor our sessions to include energy and spiritual practices as you feel comfortable. By blending these approaches, I aim to create a personalized therapeutic experience that supports your mental wellness. Each client is unique, and my flexibility allows us to honor your individual preferences and goals. In doing so, our objective is to foster an environment where you feel safe and empowered to explore your mental health journey..
As a licensed mental health therapist, my commitment to combining diverse methods is backed by research, showing that these techniques can enhance healing and personal growth.I invite you to discover how we can support your path to improved mental wellness and a fulfilling life.
